Default TD06 20G

Hi i recently bought a TD06 20G, but i´m in a big trouble, because max boost that i can do are 20Psi, and my target it was 27~28psi, why these turbo doesn´t do more boost....?

I already checked for leaks, even on wastegate seal, and no leaks....

I´m using a manual boost controler, and my car is one 01" WRX, i have full decat, cold air intake, turbo xs blow of valve.... 550cc injectors, wallbro..

Any help would be very apreciated....

Exclamation 20g

hi
i would not run that much boost
have the internals been upgraded or forged items fitted
has the fuelling been altered for more boost if not you risk blowing the engine
up
get it checked out with a garage and a mapper asap.

This is not the problem, the problem is: why these turbo can´t handle more than 18~20psi....?

I have forged internals, and sti v8 six speed gearbox...

The turbo isn't an ebay japware house type is it? Might explain the low boost.

TD06S-20G: uses 20G 60 trim.
TD06H has a different style of turbine housing and turbine wheel than TD06S.
640cfm @ 2PR @ 68%.
685cfm max flow @ 68% 2.35PR or 20.7psi.
28psi max boost limited by compressor wheel speed.

The Bigger TD series (18 and 20 G's) have been copied (in China I thought) for quite a while........the biggest seller was Japware house.

I'll have a google....

as others have said it wont perform because it is a cheap copy turbo, one of the main reasons is due to the fact the turbo is not made to any realistic tolerance, sometimes things are are to good to be true, a £200 20g is definitely one of them.

Well since you have it now put it down to experience. Try tightening the actuator, you might see more boost and you have nothing to lose - well apart from your engine if the turbo blades break

Buy cheap, buy twice, if something seems to good to be true its because it usually is, it's that simple.
