Hello mate, I think it looks tidy, but for me the history has to be comprehensive, no history on a car with 65000 for me is a no go. I'm sure other people on here will provide a different angle

Good luck with the search

best regards

Oh right, best advice is ask somebody with good knowledge to give the car a full check, spending that sort of money rac or aa would be a good bet. At the back of the engine bay you should see a blue y piece with prodrive on it, you could also call prodrive see if you can get the certificate. The shockers on these models are prone to knocking, it may have had an upgrade on suspension but listen out for knocking from the rear on test drive -)

regards

Neil

I agree no service book, no purchase at that price. If the car's ok I'd want it for a fair bit less than that. Don;t forget to come and say hi in the Essex Section. We've got a meet next Thursday at The Lodge in South Woodham. Pop along for a chat

Looks good mate. if your happy to have no book, just receipts maybe use it as getting something knocked off and get him to get the belt done.

Very nice car, wouldnt be surprised if someone on here knows it.

Agree with the price being too high, especially with mileage, age and history!

Stay clear, theres loads knocking about on pistonheads.

Pick an 05 plate up for that kind of money

Very expensive (your pushing 05 car for that), go have a look at www.pistonheads.com for better cars.

how far back do the reciepts go for all the services? i take it this is the car that is along the A127? As for it being a prodrive, if there is no certificate then it probably aint! The wheels can be bought aftermarket and if it has the cat still fitted and not a sports cat then its certainly aint How much is you BMW worth and how much does he want on top? this car used to belong to a member on here and it seems to be well lokked after with a few nice subtle mods like the rear spoiler stiffies but it is slightly over priced so try and have a haggle

cheers l.j.f, he wants to give me £6,500 for mine and the rest would be on finace as i havent got the rest in cash gutted, but mine needs a new clutch in the near future. because a few of the other chaps on here showed me some right good buys but i just havent got the £££ it does look well looked after with a stunning audio/dvd system and pro instalation. no chips scratches or dents he just had new pads all round,a rear shock because it was nocking, and plugs ,and oil filter.

No need to have a scoob to pop along fella. There's more non scoob owners at our meet lately than those that own scoobs. Most of them have sold up and bought a focarse rs.

Did you get that MY03 car in the end? did you knock about 1k off the price? sometimes its nice to shop around, some real bargains to be had, especially with the MY05 cars which are better

Dont forget that these only like super unleaded fuel
Glad you got some money off, was a bit steep for an MY03, they are fun also just dont go mad until your use to it, brake pads are a bit crap and are worth replacing with something decent.

Knocking shocks are a known fault so getting them sorted is good as for v power and tesco 99, I prefer v power in my classic JDM (I also ran it in my newage Spec C) but some people prefer tesco's 99, either way you wont go far wrong, nice with the shell card though
