Default Im thinking about a WRX Sti UK spec with PPP - any downsides

Hi guys

Having looked around for a while now for a new shape WRX Sti UK spec with PPP, And funny enough have found two at the same Subaru garage, one with 12K on the clock the other with 15K (both 57 plates) - both with PPP and the two colours and same spec I have been looking for!!!

Even though they are from a Subaru dealer and come with a warranty, should there be anything that i should pay attention for, and look at?
I work in the vehicle industry for the VAG group, and have enquired with various sales people about the new shape Scooby, and they all say dont get one, as they have had problems with Turbos, oil leaks, and diffs?
Is this the case or are they trying to get me into a R32?
Any assistance would be very gratefull
Thanks in advance
Alan

Sorry to butt in on your thread bigbadal1664.

My rear suspension has recentley started making a knocking sound, more noticable at low speed.

Does this mean the rear shocks are knackered???

Default Knocking Noise?

I would actually say that it would be the rear bushes, and not the suspension

STi shocks are notorious for knocking and it seems to be an inherant model problem.

PPP UK WRX STi are the same BHP as a Standard JDM Version and the 2.5 engine are good for torque but the JDM Version is 2.0l with a twinscroll turbo and are much more tuneable toy with more toys as standard. They seem to be less fragile on the engine side than the UK 2.5l cars.

or a similar reputable importer will give you as good a deal and warranty.

Yeah my rear suspension is making a knocking sound, and just recently has started making scraping noise as well at low speed. But on the up side it's just the on left side.

I would go for JDM to if you have the budget they cost more and they tend to hold there value much better to. And you get the stronger more reliable engine twinscroll turbo (which a lot of the manufacturers are now using plus auto intercooler water spray Hid headlights rear wash wiper (not on the spec c) sti titanium strutbrace.

Both should be fine, Only thing I have ever heard of as a common issue are rear shocks, certainly not turbos, oils leaks of diffs!!
