Default newbie Question/help

Hi all ave not posted much on the site but am in the market for a Scooby now. i have a Fiat coupe 20VT and am looking to swap it or sell it either would suit for the right car.

any ways i have been offered this and was wondering if any one knew it or could tell me a bit about it.

Subaru : Subaru import wrx 330+bhp

am really interested in it but now there is apparently white smoke coming out of it, and there is not much if any paper work for it and the the new engine etc.

just wanted to get some good advise to see if it would be worth my wile getting it,

this is my car though

Fiat : 20VTurbo Coupe

any help would be great

leave it alone mate white smoke could be any number of bad things wrong take your time looking for one it took me nearly three months to find mine

have a look in the private for sale section few cars in there up for grabs also try the parts section one or two classics in there leave that one where it is wight smoke headgasket turbo etc

id leave it, good looking car but looks and sounds like its a banger. Like others have said, take ya time finding one and maybe see if you can get one from here or someone who knows someone with one for sale perhaps. you'll find one.

everyone is a mechanic white smoke esp in the mornings in cold weather does not meen the car has headgasket problems my STI type ra has white smoke untill warm and its perfect did 300 miles over weekend.With any car and esp high performance have it checked out might cost you a few pounds but could save you thousands .

I just love this quote "also has the td05 turbo only seen on imports and not uk models" as it shows how much he knows about subaru's considering that uk cars had TD05's on all models from 94-96 its amazing he didnt mention that either
Anyway, depending on what this "white smoke" is, a full headgasket job will set you back the best part of 800 quid (yes £800) and for that sort of money you can add it to a car that doesnt have any head gasket issues (if this is so or did he also state the car overheats?) and buy one from someone who knows what they are talking about

Mine has condensation or water vapour depending on how you see it, white smoke isnt good as its normally thick where as vapour is normal on most petrol cars
