Or something to do with the fact that Subaru batteries are sh!te.
As gallois says, I always have my fan on setting one and the sidelights on to ensure that it is drawing current. The smart alternator is just too smart at times.

Mine's peed me off this week too! It hadn't been used in a week and the wife went to open it and the alarm went off, it wouldn't start. I bump started it on the drive, then again down the road, then again at the petrol station just off the A1! After 100 miles it was fine again. Strange thing is i'm now getting more MPG, I will get over 300 miles for this tank, that's never happened before! Must have needed an ECU reset.
