Find a good tunnel
#1
Today is a good day i've just fitted a Scoobysport down pipe and centre section to my sti 5 ra to add to the back box which i already thought sounded great but nothing quite prepares you for the awesome instant turbo pick up and the glorious sound (no this is not an advert for Scoobysport) simply my appreciation of a great purpose made system which sounds particularly gorgeous through the mersey tunnel with all 4 windows down addictive.
impreza drivers boring and **** ( autocar )
never oh that reminds me i must go out and polish the centre section at 3 am this morning.
Regards
Tim

Been there, do it frequently.....
....ask the driver of the stoopid old Merc that overtook me on the inside in the Dartford tunnel a couple of weeks ago - let him get ahead, dropped it into third and went past him at 7000rpm - I think he thought the tunnel was caving in...

Dougie - worth every penny, IMHO.
General concensus seems to be that back box is good, BB + centre pipe is better, but adding the D/P is what makes all the difference. I can't say, cos had all three done together.....
Can say however the end result is brilliant!!

sounds just like WRC car and if you want to
hear it providing you live within 100 miles radius from me just stick your head out the window at 9.30 and i'll give it some revs

Has anyone fitted a Scoobysport dp to a Magnex Centre & bb? as a dp will be the next addition!
The Scoobysport bb deff. has a different sound to the Magnex.
Straight through systems on a normal scoob sound completely different (better IMO!) to a WRC car, as we found out when we went testing with Marko Martin in N. Wales last October.

The headers are a different setup on the WRC. The same, I think, as Pete Croney's RA and I followed that down the road a few months ago, it sounds totally different - the exhaust note is much more of a rasp.

You're spot on there m8 - she just won't go on the bike no more. Something to do with her handbag
That's why I've always got the single seat option on (that & no friends )
However, I have great hopes for my daughter being a petrol head - started with chanting "Subaru Subaru" at her aged 2 days

Scoobsport & tunnels, very bad
Last weekend in my friends S2000, roof down, in a long tunnel, 9000rpm, woaaaahaaa
As we slowed down could hear something 'bloody fast' sounding very much like an F1 car hurtling up behind us.....Ferrari 360 driven by a nutter!

2-3 mile tunnel under central Lyon. Not in a Scooby though, my Land Rover!! (Jon Eales 3.9, 7000 revs in 3rd, 85mph or so) We have an annual pilgrimage every May. Sadly the vehicle is modified and I can only find space for 1 small silencer. Shame that.
