Cops on the case
Walked out of my parents house and into the scoob which was parked on the road. Cop car stops and looks at me and then slowly drives forward. I head off and as you have guessed they are behind again with flashing blue lights.
Anyway PC young lad seemed like a nice bloke and mentioned there has been an increase in burglaries with high performance cars
me: high performance cars
pc plod: like your subaru
me: oh, it's not as high performance as i would like
pc plod: any id
me: sure, driving licence
pc plod gives to colleague for check and chats to me
pc plod: nice car, what's the top speed you have done, off the record with a smile
pc plod: a ton
me: a little more than that, but will be going to the ring next year and autobahn to try it out
pc plod: no limits there
pc plod: what engine is it, 2 litre
me: yep 2 litre
pc plod: these are fast for 2 litres
me: yes quick enough
pc plod: oh it's got leather
me: yep its the sl spec
pc plod: you been drinking, your eyes looks glazed, i think your just tires
me: not been drinking today, but am very tired, also long drive tomorrow and friday
pc plod: must be nice long drives in this car
me: yep
pc colleague: all fine
pc plod: make sure you lock it safely, lots of crime, ppl trying to get these kind of cars
me: no worries, that's why i invested in the stoplock, to deter them
pc plod: don;t leave the keys at front of house, they break in and then take the keys
me: thanks for the advice
pc plod - was a nice chap
so advice from pc plod - keep an eye out on your precious scoobs!

I have little or no respect fot 90% off police officers, the worst thing is its not technically there fault its th fact that the CPS dont back them up enought or they dont have enought man power.
Iv had 4 cars stolen in my life 3 iv got back myself i once followed one for 15 mins on the phone to police who said i should stop following it?????
in the end me and a mate in a shojun rammed it off road. the police turned up then. Cps decided that as there were 2 people in the stolen car and they were low life scum they couldnt prove which was the driver so they got away with it. BUT we got done for ramming my OWN car and accidently slapping said scum about abit.
The copper saw you get in car i bet he was browsing at tyres whilst chatting too you.

To be fair to the police round here, they were at my house within 5 mins after my door had been kicked in, I was very impressed. Didnt catch them mind, but still.
I hide my keys every night these days.

i keep my keys in the bedroom next to my bed+ baseball bat,i also have a spare set of keys from my old legacy with alarm fob ,which are in the kitchen incase someone should break in hopefully they will take the other keys .By the time they realise they dont work i should be awake, and being an ex copper(15 years ago),i will use the necessary force to defend myself.

Police get a bit of a hard time, I know quite alot of coppers. Yes there is some total arrogant Ar*e holes, but the majority of them are not bad!
I know for a fact with alot of them it depends how you are with them, if you get stopped and you fail the attitude test your getting a ticket for what ever you have done, If you are stopped and give it the "sorry officer, i will sort it" there is a good chance you will get away with a warning!!
traffic officers on the other hand, they would ticket their own mum!!

sounds like he was still looking to book you for something............
appreciate they have a difficult job to do, but; of the majority i have dealt with; don't help themselves with the attitude they adopt

Sorry TX but thats how it is over here, most proffesional criminals know that most cars made after 1995 will have an immobilizer built into them,so scaffin & hot wiring wont work.Even the young scallies know that most insurance companies wont insure a scooby unless it has a cat 1 alarm - immobilizer fitted.
The only way they can get your car is with the keys,so thats why they break in ,rob your house and then have apretty quick car to get away in.
