not normal for such a newish car. could be the actuator is broke and rattling about, but then again you would be getting problems with performance if it was that. bound to be someone on here with good advice

can you not get a specialist to "READ" the error codes first before you have subaru stitch you up like a kipper.

have you ever had any exhaust heat sheilds off? or turbo heat sheild off? as above i have read on NASIOC that the housing on the back of the vf43 can crack under alot of heat. checked that maybe the turbo inlet hose has slip off or anything like that? let us know what changes you have made to your motor

Had a look around the turbo and I can not see anything that looks wrong, no pipes off or anything. Any one got any other ideas?

screeches under load can be the impeller catching the housing if damaged or out of balance for some reason,i had a hybrid td05 do this once that was brand new and never could find the route cause or for matter could AET turbos which was where i had it from so i eneded up sending it back 3 times and having to have a different unit.

Swapped out the TD04, noise still there. It's boost related as I ran WG pressure(6psi) and the noise goes away.

It's hard to identify where it is coming from tbh. The whole intake system has been pressure tested to 18psi and IC swapped out. I'm going to try a new BCS as it sounds as if it's coming from the right hand side of the engine bay.

The next step is to get it on a RR to try and identify exactly where the noise is coming from.

Could it be a vibration that sounds like a screech maybe?i only say this as i had a noise that sounded like my transmission was on its way out on over run but it turns out it was one of my intercooler pipeing[fmic]rubbing on the kick bar at the back of the engine.

I would have expected a vibration of that sort to be reproduced independant of boost though.

All depends on the frequency needed to produce the noise/vibration
