Don't you think there might be a good reason why responsible bodies such as the police, the BBC website and the press websites aren't releasing the names of the victims yet? So that the bereaved can hear about what's happened in an appropriate way perhaps?

I heard on the grapevine that the scoob pulled out in front of the land rover which couldn't avoid ploughing into it thus seriously rearranging its front half and killing its 2 occupants instantly. Don't know whether that's just speculation or an accurate account as it's what i heard at work but I'm sure all will be revealed in the derbyshire times or matlock mercury in due course.

That is in fact inaccurate. I was there. I was involved in trying to clear up this macabre carnage until the emergency services arrived. I'm not going to say what happened yet until the police have gathered all their statements, in case it may be thought to have caused undue influence.

But one thing is obvious. Speed kills.

michaela,

for someone so young this must be heartbreaking for you to even write about it.

Very very sad please pass on my condolences to Their family.

having "children" their age, I still could only imagine the pain the parents are feeling at this moment in time.

RIP

Michaela, not having a dig but sometimes these things are best left to lie and not brought back up.
It was 4/08/09 when I posted on that thread last and that was pretty much the end of it.

We all know its a pretty bad way to die, there are probably a fair few people on here who know or have known people who have been injured or killed in RTA's or even those who work in the emergency services who have to attend these scenes and pick up the pieces (both my sister and brother in law are paramedics and have attended many a fatal RTA ) so we stopped talking about it back in last august, so please, if you dont want people to talk about it, dont dig up old posts

OK, I've deleted the tosh.

In future Tony, take a little more consideration with what you post and how you expect people its aimed at to react; Your replies as well as those from others equally stirred up an inevitable negative response from someone who is obviously emotional on the matter - Have a little more heart people, if not just don't bother replying and the thread would have quickly dropped off the page again.
