A friend of mine is thinking of getting a RB5.As I've never had one or driven one I thought I'd post this to try and find out a bit more info for him.How much he should be looking to pay, milage, year etc. He's currently running a 96 subaru turbo, but has been out in my p1 and was well impressed. This is why I think he's decided to change.

Cheers.

18K isn't bad from a garage ( mileage ?) The Parkers price guide for the RB5 (non WR ) has been going up ever since I got mine 5 months ago.

Great car with more character than the standard UK, be it WR or not the car's still great fun. very little (if any) performance differance from your mates car though.

I think 162 were WR versions as new but everyone that has an RB5 on here seems to have one ??

I've got my eye out for one at the moment. There is one with 30k on the clock for £14500 in Top Marques. Looks a nice example. doesn't state if its a WR or not. Lovely cars though and making them in a special colour was a really good idea.

One of the ones for sale is mine

See http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/thread.asp?threadid=75525 for more details and make me an offer!

OK not as cheap as the one Sideways has quoted, that seems like a bargain! But certainly cheaper than the ones in AutTrader at the moment.

Cool

Oliver,

Mail me as per profile if your friend is serious about owning an RB5 as my RB5WR is very close to being part exchanged for something else and as such would be cheaper than any dealer car in the same condition....perfect that is

If your mate is still looking for an RB5, then i have one for sale here in Notts!

Non WR on the T-Plate, Done 26,000miles and in excellent nick!

I do work for a Uk Dealer, so it would come with 12 months Subaru Warranty, and all the usual gubbings!

Actually I lied - mine has a square front plate, no map (?) on the dash and a smaller rear spoiler

Plus it has Eibach springs & Brembo brakes (as this one may too).

Oh and did I say it was for sale?
