STI Blobeye vs WRX Hawkeye
Guys
I will be in a position to get a scoob in a couple of months and have always intended to get a STI blob but I see that there are some nice WRX hawks for the same price now. What would you go for and why? My budget is 8 - 10k.
Thanks,
Hal

Personally I am in the same boat as you seen some nice sti blobeye for 8-10k but I have just seen a nice sti haweye for 11k (some haggling may drop the price). Hard decision
I like the blobeye shape but the more I see the hawkeye shape the more I like it. . The only thing is the 2.5 tax band but not much of an issue.
I will only by a sti as you get more for you money (personal opinion).
Good look with the hunt anyway dude!

Alright mate, I had the same decision to make, went for the STi. For me it was the things listed above that you would have to do to the WRX to get it up to STi level, you'd have to spend a fair bit & in the end I preferred the bugeye shape. You have to drive both and see what you think and it does depend on what you want it for, weekend blaster or everyday use. Saying that, I use the STi nearly everyday, I haven't got a long commute, but that sixth gear is handy on the motorway. You can get a good deal on STis at the moment sub £8k, then spend some on mods. Good luck.

I'm after a standard STi (blobeye) but have yet to find one under £8k. Anyone want to point me in the right direction?
The cheapest I've found is £8500 from a private seller.

Thats a good deal, yeah I saw a Blob or two knocking about on autotrader but as you know there's normally a reason for a good deal. Sometimes they're imports / or in scotland / or cat-d and it doesn't say on the advert, you should contact them all and you never know you could find a genuine bargain......
