Default Help on fitting braided hoses

Hi all can anyone help i have brought some billet fuel rails and -6 fittings now come the hard bit im trying to fit the braided fuel pipes and im not getting anywhere is there a nack to it can anyone give me a clue or am i just stupid HELP!

One wind of insulating tape, push threaded nut over tape, clamp union in a vice (padded) and twist hose until seated, then tighten nut, I used a socket to hold the union still and a ring spanner to tighten the nut, myself tbh.

Also wind tape onto hose and cut with a junior hacksaw....

Stops frayed ends, like Head & Shoulders.... or is that dandruff ?
