Buying advice please
I need some advice on a car that someone is selling.
I haven't seen the car yet but here's the details.
1994 Impreza WRX Wagon(Silver)
72000 miles
2 Litre Turbo 260BHP
Wellane Dump Valve
HKS Induction Kit with full T-BAR and cold air feed
Smoked indicators all round
Crystal blue sidelights
Front fogs
Electric windows
Fold in electric mirrors
Sunroof version
Full stainless steel Magnex exhaust
4x Brand new tyres
17inch Bronze alloys(unmarked)
Fully colour coded body(no black trim)
Interior in excellent condition
Factory fitted bucket seats
X4 Steering wheel
CD/MP3 Player
MOT till 29/4/09
Tax till 31/6/09
Seller is asking £2,450, is it worth that/what's a reasonable offer?
The seller is looking for a quick sale.
All help greatly appreciated,thanks.
p.s. what are the main things to check for with a scooby
of this age?

1800 tops, its a 15yr old car
I paid 2700 last year for a V reg UK 2000 Turbo, very good condition, air con unmarked leathr interior etc had 96K but I,ve since done 20k trouble free miles (thats the kiss of death)
and that was b4 the world economy really went south
i would put it this way --- if anything goes wrong, like clutch, head gasket, gearbox, it will be worth more broken up

Hodgy is probably right. High miles MY00 can be had for £2K.
Its very old, its an import, its not one of the more desired models - its worth whatever someone will pay for it - not very much at all.
Also I don't believe well lane make dump valves - they do try to make you pay £13k for a P1 with no history but thats a different story.

220ps standard on the wrx wagon, even with the mods its probably not pushing more than 230-240bhp.
If its a wagon your after, you can get a good uk 99/00 for that price
Look at this!
Subaru : SUBARU IMPREZA FOR SALE AWD TURBO 2000
Bargain

i would hang out for a saloon. easier to sell on. not worth anything like 2450 at the moment. agree more like 1800-2000
agree, that wagon will be 220ps not 260ps.

Thanks for the info guys. I was edging towards
the wagon as we go camping and would be ideal
for carrying the kit but to be honest I will probably
go for the saloon as it looks nicer.

I have a wagon and quite like them -- they are practical, the roof rails are really useful etc, and I’m not into the boy racer type stuff
But I have to admit, they are a bit like the plain jane girl, with fantastic legs and big t1ts
but whatever you choose the bottom line is that with 2.5k you can get a very very tidy car, your in the driving seat
