Default Duck.. its another Newbie!

Hi all, at last I've got a car I've always wanted.
Got a very standard wrx as I want to slowly make it mine, given time and money. I know I'll need advice and what better place than here. Don't think I'll make it as extreme as some that you lot have, but I'm gonna enjoy it.

I bought a Bugeyed Sport last Feb as I couldn't afford a WRX. Wasn't over enamoured with it as the engine seemed gutless, I later found out that the dealer I got it off had put really bad tyres on it. Next time my gut tells me the tyres aren't good I'll listen. Financial rite off by spinning into a tree on a wet drive home, just following the car in front.

I got away with it, no one else involved and all I wanted after that was a WRX.... and here I am. Whoopee! Love it to bits, the sound, the drive... just what I'd hoped.

Hope to be dropping some questions your way. Cheers.

Thanks chaps.
Previous cars haven't been that interesting. Before Scoobydom the last car was a 2.0 Mondeo Zetec.
Til now my own motorised thrills have only really come from biking. Although a days rally tuition with Mr Higgins was a really good highlight.

The street cred of my partner went up loads when she picked her lads up in the Scooby. Their mates couldn't believe it!

Mmmm,I've got that to come I suppose. The Mondeo was a bit of a tank although the engine seemed better that on the Sport.
Mine had no real service history even though it was lowish mileage for its age ~50K so I've had everything done in a service... timing belt, front and rear diffs, brakes. I think that basically covered the 50K and 60K services. At least I know what I've got now.

P.S. best value mod on mine - Whiteline adjustable rear ARB with up-rated drop-links - make in handle so much better !
