Rallyschool
I am planning to try a day here:
Rallyschool.co.uk - rally school for rally driving
I wondered if anyone has been already - Im looking to find out what location out of the three is best.
Any feedback would be great.
Cheers.

I went to the shropshire one last year driving ford focuses. It was good fun and I did learn some interesting things about how a car reacts to different surfaces.
they do a 4wd one aswell in scoobies.
I got it as a gift last christmas.

I,ve done the Silverstone one a few times, was very good imo, drove MK2 Escorts, class wasn,t too big either, only 5 of us if i remember so you had some good tutor time, you think you can drive til you have a-go at this, getting those babies side-ways and controlling them is mental fun...

track was laid out on a very old and bumpy airfield which they had removed some tarmac and laid fine gravel on. so was like 70% tarmac 30% gravel.
The scariest bits were the tarmac sections that had diesel and water laid down on them (proper slippy!) getting the focuses sideways with lift of oversteer was easy.
Cars were a bit of a let down, standard focus with road tyres (proxes if I remember rightly) just had a roll cage fitted and a self tapper through the handbrake release button to effectively make it a fly off handbrake.
young lads who were tutoring us knew how to chuck them around but wouldnt anyone who worked there day in day out.

i went there a few weeks ago, got about 7 laps in a focus, it was ok not great or crap just ok. a lap took about 1 minute to complete, i felt you never had enough time to get used to it all, it would of been good to of had the instructor show you how to do it first as it gives you an idea of how fast you can actually go.

i went a few years ago to the one at prees heath shropshire. Quite expensive for the amount of time i had in the car,mk 2 escorts were being used back then. How much are they charging nowadays? They used to have a stand at the Autosport show with some special offers, might be worth a look if you are going to the show
