Bill Gwynne Rallyschool
#1
I went to the Bill Gwynne Rallyschool yesterday to do the Subaru Impeza gp N driving course, wow what a day arrive 9am, sign in, drivers briefing.Introduced to the instuctor for the day(Martin Rowe)2 laps with Martin driving 1 slow to show you the stage then next 1 faster to show you the lines and to give you an idea of speed into corners, braking points.
Next i get to drive 5 laps of the stage very nervous 1st lap but soon get into it all over to fast, change over for another driver (6 on the coarse per day)2nd 5 laps going well until a high speed spin and stall just missing the tyres,3rd 3 laps getting better no spin this time.Lunch break food was excellent while you have lunch some one gets the tractor out and drags the gravel back onto the stage also moving the tyres making some corners tighter, afternoon 2 more 5 lap runs with the gavel back in place handbrake turns are a litle easier but the rest of the stage is very slippery and very challenging.Short break for martin to get some light refreshment then onto the 2 lap assement when the instuctor say absolutely nothing, this wasn't my best laps.Finaly into the hospitality are for results of the driver assement/certificate presentation.
I got surprise at the end when i got most improved driver and a bottle of champagne. A great day with top instuctor, the best car,and the staff at the Rallyschool can't do enough to help you.
I had the rally bug before i went but i now have it twice as bad

My B-day is coming up, how much is one of these? Do they have a homepage?
Edit:
Ah, did a search on the source of all wisdom (scoobynet), and came up with this: http://www.billgwynne.com/Bill%20Gwynne/home.html

Advised my stepmum to buy the 2wd/4wd course for my Dad for his 50th. He is doing it this month sometime.
I advised her to book Bill Gwynnes after the amount of glowing reports it received here, and i dont think me Dad will be disappointed !!
