Default modify or sell and buy something different

Right, between now and april i will have enough money to do some things to my current impreza, i could achieve about 330+BHP and have suspension and brake upgrades, and fix all the dings and chips and buy a few other various bits for it.

Or.....

i can keep my cash saved, sell my car and buy a newer impreza (or perhaps something different but depends what is available and how it compares)

what would the people of scoobynet do

Keep in mind that now is not the best time to be selling cars.

Exactly. i'll have to take a big loss but with savings involved i could have something newer and better. make the best of the situation kind of thing. the money i have saved will either be spent on the car or used towards a newer impreza, or possibly something different. but what to do..

Very true, there are lots of nice cars that have been for sale recently. It just depends what you are willing to let yours go for. Its amazing how many cars are being broken because the owners are getting more money back that way. One day classics wont be that comon.

have a lot of nice life changing holidays- go for some mind blowing experiences. Improve your house, take up a new sport or hobby.

any money spent mod'ing cars- is dead money. you'll never remember it all, or appreciate it in 10 years time. whatever you do to your car- only you will appreciate.

Thing with that is, im a student and still living at home.

the way i see it is i've got no monthly costs, nothing that i should be saving for really. so spending money on a car is something i want to do, and right now in my life it will not make me worse off in that sense.

In the current climate perhaps it's best to sort out your current car and maybe mod a little and save the rest? Tough times and maybe having cash behind you will help when things take a turn for the better!
IMHO obviously.

Looking at your car mate I would probably keep it because once you buy a newer model (unless you get one well modded) you'll want to mod that too so you'll be even more out of pocket....

^^^^^^^

I agree, I want to upgrade to a hawkeye but am not sure whether to further mod my blobeye

Tough one mate as you will make a bigger loss if you sell but will also get a good car for a good price. If I was you I would advertise the car to see what kind of response you get and look for a modded car that is within the budget, theres plenty out there.

Thats what I would do as you know where you stand then.

go for it then it won't be long before you've got life related debts so if you can afford it why not?

i would agree with austin on the holiday/travelling thing though, something i regret not doing. but then again i don't regret spunking loads of money on scoobs in the last 10 years

just beware that the modding bug can bite hard
