Question Looking to buy a good Series Mcrae.

Hi there, I am currently on the hunt for a clean Series McRae anyone got one for sale?
I have looked at a couple now but one was modified and the other (no2) which was meant to have 2 lady owners from new and suitable for a collector, had had an exceptionaly hard life .
There is cash waiting for the right car. Cheers Guys!

I test drove one 10 years ago. And I'd say you have as much chance of finding one as I have being the pope. Get real!

Question

Are you set on a Mcrae?, I have a mint MY00 (and I mean mint!), 43k miles Silver classic up for sale, (not cheap, but price reflects condition), unmodified, with complete FSSH.
Mail me if your interested, if not good luck in your search, they are quite rare though.

Hi I found this link from here https://www.scoobynet.com/private-sa...55-v2-sti.html

They made 500 of these for the Japanese market I think, and the Series McRae was only 200 units for the UK, both came out at about the same time and they never made a McRae V2. I hope this helps

Although i thought it look like a version three i am not sure to be honest.
The v-limited has...

WRX Type RA STi Version II V-Limited
Special Features:
- only 555 cars were produced
- 'Colin McRae' and 'Derek Ringer' stitched into STi seats
- applied model code GC8C4DD
- unique paint code selected by Colin, saltire blue, colour code 53C
- DCCD
- Closed Deck Block
- Short Ratio gearbox
- Rear LSD
- Fifth fuel injector on the inlet manifold
- Rally style roof vent
- FIA "World Rally Manufacturer's Champions Subaru 1995" badge on left hand side of bootlid

The 555 sti is basically just an sti painted the same colour 53c and it has the roof vent but it doesnt have some of the other things like the DCCD

I appreciate that, thanks for clarification.

So to compare your model with a McRae.

Special dark mica blue paintwork cc 416 (I think)
6.5 x 16 inch eight spoke gold Speedline Safari alloy wheels
Recaro sports front seats with open headrests and Series McRae motifs
All seats (front and back) and door panelling retrimmed in Le Mans/Avus material
Factory fitted electric tilt and slide sunroof
Interior numbered Series McRae plaque
Side and rear Series McRae decals

So they are really two different editions

So is that a 555 model in Autotrader? Looking at it again, it looks nicer and a bit more special than the standard sti I bought the other day, kind of wishing I went to look at this one now.
