Default Is this a good price?

Hello guys,

Have a look at this WRX link. Does it seem a good price. Its reasonable mileage, high level spoiler, alloys etc.

Autotrader - SUBARU IMPREZA 2.0 WRX 4dr

Looks pretty good to me. May go have a look tomorrow

Feedback would be great and much appreciated!!

Its not practical for me really. I cant afford to pay the petrol, tax and insurance on an STI unfortunatly. A WRX will do me fine, I have now and would like a newer lower mileage one.

Its a decent price mate and looks a nice car. See how much you can get it down to, especially as it needs a service inc cambelt! Barter!

Nice looking car and a fair price, although sure you can knock it down a bit in the current climate. Buyers market.

That is not a prodrive spoiler by the way. Check to see if it is a genuine STI part or a replica... I would put my money on the latter - big price difference.

Oh, and petrol and insurance is not really any different between and STI and a WRX to be fair. I think you do save a bit on road tax however.

Difficult one this one. It does look a nice car and it is from a dealer. Low mileage, but it does need a big service. I would say that if they take off the price of a service it would be about right - you have to allow the dealer some profit.

Just a word on the running costs. It sounds like you have done your research, but if the numbers look so tight that you can't stretch to an STI (which is available privately for the same price) then it might be worth thinking about a different car. Petrol and insurance will be much the same while road tax will be (for the moment at least) only a little bit more. Make sure you factor a fuel price of £1.50/litre into your running costs equation because it almost certainly will happen and it will have a much bigger impact than the lower road tax.

I have to say it is refreshing to be commenting on someone who has obviously thought this through. You have an Impreza already and aren't getting carried away with your budget. You obviously really love Imprezas because for someone with their head screwed on such as yourself they don't make much financial sense.

Good luck.

Nath,

There are a few at Subaru Dealers for £1.5k more but you do get the full Proven Warranty which is the danglies if something big goes and you don't want Back Street Bob getting his hands on it.

Just a thought.
