Your sentance doesnt make any sense.

Why isnt there a dump valve or are you fitting one that has been removed?

You wont need a remap unless you are changing something significant eg turbo or injectors or intercooler for a front mount.

Owning a Impreza turbo will cost alot of money unless you research before you spend your money.

The standard car is fitted with a recirculating (no woosh) dump or blow off valve as standard.
No real need to fit another one, it won't give you any more performance, just a chavvy noise (In my opinion)
Because there is one as standard, fitting an aftermarket one wont make the turbo live any longer than it would have done before.

As for remaps, no you don't "need" a remap on a standard car but it can be done with the right ECU / software and will improve the performance to what you have now.
Best option for an early car, being as you can't use the EcuTek software on it is probably an Apexi power FC (complete standalone replacement ECU)

Modding ANY car will cost you a lot of money, but on the whole they are a fairly reliable car.

Can recommend Powerstation in Tewkesbury for the rolling road bit if you just want a power run.....give mr Fuzz something to do As for the ECU, as Fuzz says, go down the Apexi Power FC route and get Andy Forrest to map it for you. There was talk of a group buy on mapping in the welsh section, just over the bridge from you, keep an eye out and get your name down if interested. Andy supplies and maps the ecu for around £800 if i remember right. He's been down a few times and mapped my car amongst others, can highly recommend.

I couldlive remap your factory ecu instead of the Apexi, which I don't think is available for your model year any more, as a thought

cheers

I'm a fan of powerstation in tewksbury for my power runs their very well set up for scoobys and your not going to get anunrealistic/exagerated power figure at the end (and you'll get to meet mr.fuzz), as for mapping i'l only use Andy Forrest becase he's awesome at what he does and my preference is a road mapped car, you wont see as much power as you'll see if you map on the rollers but you'll get a quiker more responsive car on the road, if its mapping on the rollers your after fuzz and powerstationcan do that too.
