Refurbed my wheels
Took advantage of the weather today and got a couple of coats of laquer on my spare set of wheels.I have been rubbing these down in slow time over the last few months, but decided that I had to pull my finger out and finish them,so painted them on Friday and laquered today.
They look better than the wheels on the car now so will have to swap them over and start on the other set.

So, if I want to buy some two pack lacquer for wheels, what sort of place would I go to and what would I ask for? And what's the best type of paint to do wheels with? I'm thinking of gloss black.

The above do a good selection of paints to.
I got mine from a auto paint shop.
You will need a compressor and spray gun.
This is nasty stuff, don't breath fumes, wear air fed mask or use it outside in a breeze.
You have done a very nice job but as you say, this lacquer stuff is not nice and my concern is that not many people have the skill to use it properly without causing harm to themselves - or more importantly - others.
I stromgly suggest that if you are thinking of refurbing your wheels, and you are an amateur, please think twice and then send your wheels to one of a number of people who have been recommended on SN and let them do the job. Its not that expensive . . . but your lungs are priceless!
