Would the rear quarters off a bug eye fit a blob eye
High guys, I was wanting to know whether the quarter panels would fit. I know that there is a slight difference in lights but that mostly effects the bumper. Reason I ask is i need a few bits and bobs for a blob eye but am seeing mostly bug eyes being broken.

Should be the same. The rear light cluster is the same shape just dark tints on the bugeye. All blob wrx's are the same shape as far as I know. I believe it was just the '05 STI which got slightly flared rear arches.

the 05 sti changed to flared arches and a few late 04 sti's which were basicly the 05 car. your best bet is asking subaru for the part codes as they'l be the same if they fit

right after speaking to a few people who deal with impreza in various ways I am given two different answers. Some say they are definately different.
Some say that if mine does not have lips on the arches then the bug eye quarters should fit.
Me personally, I think the lights wont fit properly as the corner of the light that fit into the quarters on the blob eye seems more finer than the bug
some help pleaaaaase

Theres a lad on another forum (OCUK) who has an 03STI with the arch lips.
He says the previous owner fitted them. I can't see someone re-fitting 2 rear quarters from a late 04STI to an 03STI just to get the lips.
So although not helping very much, I can't see 03 quarters being different to 04 onwards. I'll ask him and come back.

According to the previous owner the rear quarters are the same, the arch extension is a kit which fits over the wheel arch, he's got a spare set FS on here at the moment as it happens.
The other difference is the rear bumper skin which is shaped to meet up to the arch extensions..

And ive just spoken to Clare from Prosport, what a nice a person.
After looking into it for me the part numbers for a 2001 bug and 2004 are exactly the same, likewise i should be good to go.
Thank you very much Clare
