Default newbie help please

Hi, im new to the Scooby area.

I am looking at getting a "runabout" of a scooby" in the next few months. I dont want to spend over 4k.

I dont really know the difference between teh STI, WRX or import spec. what sort of power and spec are they?

I am ideally looking for a saloon, really like the ones with the higher level spoiler.

any advice or information for me?

Background information:
I used to be into the RS scene, had a Fiesta RST, built a new Zetec 2.1 turbo engine in and ran that for a year. I then bought a Volvo C70 T5, modded that fairly rods, turbo etc and got it to 340bhp and 400lb/ft torque.

I am interested in the 4wd aspect of driving now, fwd is nice and predictable but can be dangerous imho. fancy a change.

Thanks

Ian

What sort of running costs are invovled and prices for subarus?

How many miles average do they last before needing attention like rebuild, are the rods stong? what sort of boost can the car run standard?

simple things really.
