Default Where is the best place to buy...........

Can anyone tell me where is the best/cheapest/most reliable place to buy the following pieces of kit:

HKS SSQV

Blitz Nur Spec R

Both pieces of kit are to be fitted to an 06 Hawkeye Impreza STi.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

I don't know about the cheapest but Scoobyworld are reputable and I find them fairly competetive price wise.

Revolution (www.revolution.eu.com) are fairly close to you if you want to order them in person!

Yeah I had a look at their site before, cheers.

Guess I'm looking at the best part of £470 for the Blitz Nur Spec R.

As for the HKS SSQV, I'm not too sure as I've seen quite a few different prices ranging upto £260, although I'm not entirely sure why when you see them going on eBay such as this one:

HKS SSQV BLOW OFF VALVE SUBARU IMPREZA 7 8 9 WRX STi on eBay, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (item 130143449156 end time 24-Aug-07 12:54:19 BST)

Unless that is the wrong fitment for an 06 Hawkeye STi?

Thanks again

My general rule is to stay away from ebay for mechanical items. Fine for simple bits of styling etc... I bought my prodrive mud flap stickers from there and was happy.

Scoobyworld are really good as an online outfit. Used them for my exhaust and mud flaps and the service on both occassions was first class.

If you aren't sure about fitting the relevant part or want it fitted professionally use a local supplier like Revolution or AS as they are professionals and will give you the right advice.

The cheapest option is not always the best one when dealing with a car IMHO.

Oh and watch the local forums for bargains: TyneTeesScoobies - you just missed my Turbosmart DV for £70 for example.

Yeah good advice mate, I usually follow the same rule. All I was questioning was the range of prices for said BOV. Unfortunately Scoobyworld don't seem to stock the exhaust I'm after, well at least they don't advertise it on their site although they do stock the HKS SSQV, I just thought it could be purchased elsewhere for cheaper....

Cheers

I would recommend Scoobyparts ... Scoobyparts - Subaru Impreza parts and accessories

Ask for Tim..

He will help you out,

I have just got a HKS SSQV from him... top company

beware of some companies selling "copied" HKS SSQV... there are some around on ?bay

cheers..

Just having a look on Revolution's site and it says that the Blitz Nur Spec system will only fit on Jap cars and not UK cars, does this therefore mean that it wouldn't fit onto an STi Type UK?

I'm guessing thats the case, if so its very disappointing as I love the sound that system produces.

As for the HKS SSQV as long as it is genuine HKS the price on eBay does seem pretty decent compared to others, not a million miles more cheaper but still cheaper.

I got my HKS SQV for the classic aswell as a Nurspec of this seller on e-bay.

Prices were really good in comparison to all the others. I did try all the reccomended sellers as suggested but they could not match the price.

I ordered both over the phone and got free delivery by mentioning scoobynet thing and they were delivered next day.

Here is the link. Not sure if he does the later Nur spec though.

Subaru Impreza V8+ HKS (SQV) Blow Off Dump Valve (03+) on eBay, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (item 230161573138 end time 23-Aug-07 21:06:01 BST)
