boxer engined subaru legacy
later on this year ill be getting one or these but id like to know more about them,
id like to own the legacy wagon,the one with the boxer engine 2.0 or 2.4?
about a 1994 model,
ill probly get an import but not sure, if i need brakes or a cluch or somthing will the uk ones be the same? at the moment i have a ford escort van with an rs turbo engine, it always has problems i want a real car with luxery and power

I believe they are a 2.0 2 Stage Twin Turbo, Engines pretty much the same as an Impreza, but more fun cos of the additional turbo

1994 Twin turbo's were 240bhp, 1996 on were 280bhp. Most parts are similar to the Impreza, parts related to the twin turbo arrangement are a bit harder to source but there are a few specialist who can find bits. Worst case is import bits from Japan yourself - I had to do this with an uppipe as no-one in the uk stocks or makes them.
Group 20 insurance but lots of fun, even managed close to 30 mpg in mine.
Done 25,000 miles in the last 2.5 years and no real problems - bar the uppipe.

p.s. lag between the 2 turbo's takes some getting used to..
