I think maybe the main thing that is going to put people off on the newish car, is that it wont have any warranty, paying a large sum for a modded new car with no warranty is a big risk.
Also, i dont think anyone (other than chavs) actually buy a noisy car (but that same person would probably make it noisy for themselves)

Yep, I must admit selling a modified car in the future worries me too.
Still, by the time i get round to it the car won't be worth much !
So do we reckon cars are Scoobs are worth more, less or the same with mods ?

The price sounds good, maybe put in the offer that you are willing to put it back to standard or you have the origonal bits for them to do so?
Maybe even give details on how they can get a warranty for it?

Also try PistonHeads and SIDC.
If you're converting back to standard, give me a shout about your Rear wing, mine is black so it will be a straight swap. (Plus cash your way, obviously )

Neil.
I think that you just need to bide your time ie wait for the right person to come along. It looks a great car, seems to be well priced & also value for money (£13.5k FGS!). Time is all that is against you ... if you are OK for time just wait!

I'm confused (easily done ...) as you mention £13.5k above?

£13.5k? Ah, got it ... offered £13.5k when price was £16k, sorry. For an 05 car with so many mods, £16k doesn't seem too bad IMHO.

I was trying to sell my modded (classic) scoob, when it was only 3 years old, back in '99. Took 9 months, not good.
Unbelievable really, it's not like you've crap mods on there.
You've tried PistonHeads & SIDC too? (Also, so close the xmas )
If i were you, convert back to standard. Sell the parts and and take the traders offer if you want a quick sale. You should recoup £2k for the parts, or there abouts, and be close to your original figure.

Put it on Ebay with a reserve of 14k, and advertise it online at autotrader. What you could do is advertise it without a price and see what offers you get. If it hasn't sold for several months, and you've put it in the right places, then you're asking too much.

Selling a car today is just awful as most people are only prepared to pay the square root of f all for cars ie less than they should be worth. Only thing to do is bide your time (if you can afford to) & wait for the right person to come along. They always do as long as you can wait.
If she really must go then take a hit on the price ie sell for £500/750 above the trade in value or indeed just trade in.
TX.
PS
I've recently sold my BMW which has been up for sale since June this year ... didn't give up & could afford to wait.
