Default Screech when pulling seatbelts?

I get a high pitch screeching noise when I pull the front seatbelts out with any speed! Has anyone had and resolved this problem?

It's not the belt winder as I had the panels off today and I can pull it fast with no noise then!

Any help would be a lifesaver!

Its the belt rubbing on the plastic bit covering the pillar.

A bit of fettling of the slot will fix it!

I had this problem on my bugeye.

It's one of the "ribs" inside the plastic pillar cover.

You'll need to take the plastic off the pillar (easy enough to do), and trim the offending rib down with a knife to stop the belt rubbing it every time you pull it out.

It was obvious which of the three ribs that was causing the problem on mine, as it was covered in fluff from the belt.

Ten minute job, tops.

Hope this helps

Mike

Mike
That sounds spot on to me! Thanks bud, I'll get busy on it when I have another spare day!
