Now, in regards to Jon and Co. I really have no idea. But since there's no real info yet, I thought I'd toss out a speculation.
Will be interesting to see what the real result is.
And yeah, I'm the owner/publisher of Subiesport Magazine.

Coming soon? Jeesus, post me something i dont know ffs.
Why bother posting a link to a coming soon title?
WE know that, its when we want to know.
That is all i have been asking from the start.
Oh hang on, i might have a new car coming soon! Mind you, it wont be till 2008, but its still soon. LOL. Pish.

I personally think the way scoobymag has treated its subscribers is disgraceful. I appreciate they've had printing issues etc. but i've not heard any valid reason why they've failed to update their website / banner etc. and keep subscribers up-to-date with anticipated despatch dates. I paid my subscription in good faith and think that in the event they can't deliver the goods, the absolute least they can do is have the common courtesy to acknowledge / apologise for this and keep us up-to-date.
Contrary to a lot of peoples views, I also don't think the magazine is particularly good and therefore hardly worth waiting for.
Hope I don't need to dig out the flame suit as this is just my opinion.

I agree entirely with the above post by Brad,
The only consolation is that a 12 issue subscription seems to be a lifetime subscription all rolled into one.
The articles are often written in very childish English coupled with poor grammar and pages are out of numerical order.
The management continually ask for leniency with publication dates and the constant delays and that is my biggest gripe.
If you put yourself forward in the public eye then you have to be prepared to back it up with results, the main ones in this instance being a quality magazine delivered punctually.
I am convinced that they would be happy to reap the rewards were it a successful publication, so they must then face the music when its not going according to plan.
This is the first rule of business.
Please don’t get me wrong, I think most of the Japanese car based magazines are dross, but at least I can go get a copy of Banzai or Japanese performance on a regular date.
More effort required, or a get out clause to refund unhappy subscribers would be a nice gesture.

Fingers crossed it will be under new management so we can see what really goes on in the Subaru community instead of what thier own personal opinions think should be in print.

So, if you asked for one, i would think that they would refund you your unused part of the subscription.
I cant link to the post as i cannot find it, but part of it was via pm, so i aint pasting that here.
But i was offered a refund, at that time.

glad i never spent that much TBH
just the odd few quid wasted on buying 2 mags
had considered advertisments @ one point, which is quite scarey as there was only about 2 issues made since then

I understand why those that took out a subscription will be disappointed, especially as the frequency is far off what was originally planned and is best described as unpredictable. However temper that with the quality and content and the fact that Jon Bracewell is soldiering on to honour his commitments. With his wife he produces this almost single handed and that must be quite an achievement.
Why not cut them some slack and hope it all comes good.

yes to be told something first hand would be nice. Its ok saying they are working hard etc., but how hard is it to send a mass e-mail? Or to put a post on here and SIDC? Full respect for the hard work they put in!!

I'm hearing a lot of hard work is being put in to the magazine (allegedly) and it's a shame we don't get to see the fruit of their labour! ... and, again, if they dedicated just a brief moment to updating their subscribers it may be more gratefully received!!
Service is poor, magazine is too IMO. Unfortunately there's nothing else to compensate for this as that's all they - sort of - provide, so little/no redeeming features!

I am sure that if this was an aftermarket tuning company of Subarus, especially one that had taken money and not delivered what was promised there would be significantly less patience and goodwill all around.
I am a subscriber I like the magazine and think it of great quality. However no matter how hard it is running your own venture if you don't talk to your customers then you will lose them.
Dealing with difficult situations well has defined many great businesses - how about a quick update to the banner at the top of this forum for example?

I think it is a quarterly magazine (or at the very best a bi-monthly). Maybe they should extend subscriptions to 3 years (e.g. for those of us that have paid for 12 issues) and release 4 a year with a 'special' thrown in for free. We can fill in the other months with JTuner, Japanese Performance and Banzai.
