It is pointless using it as your UK cars can not use it without a remap!!!

When I started using 100ron in my car here the ECU couldn't handle it so on hard acceleration, boost would hit 1.2 then drop to 0.4 then back to 1.2 then down to 0.4.

This continued until my car was mapped to allow my ecu to use the fuel, so don't get all excited about it as you will be wasting your money.

Also as there are only 5 or 6 stations selling it, it would be pretty pointless getting your car remaped to use it.

iso-octane (2,2,4-trimethylpentane) is the pure form of what increases the RON of fuel. Just so happens there is a 2.5 litre bottle of it in the lab.

iso-octane is only 100 ron.it is the upper test chemical when testing the research octane number of a fuel.so if a fuel is 97 ron it has exactly the same knock resistance as 97% iso-octane and 3% n-heptane.that is how ron is worked out.don't ask me how they work out how a fuel is 102 ron though
