Please can you guys out there help me! 
Which engine do they refer to when they talk about the GC8, and in which impreza would you find it? I have a 1998 uk spec turbo 2000 is my engine GC8? Thanks for your help on this one!!!!!

Thanks for that fast reply mate! the reason I ask this is because i have a hole in my manifold and need to replace it but there is so much choice out there and they all use different jargons

So up to now with all this jargon, I've established that I have a my98 with GC8 engine? My next question is, which manifold would you recomend I go for as I have a hole in the pipe that runs along the bottom near the front by the radiator??????

thanks for that! I've been looking at some magnex manifolds! got demon tweeks just round the corner to us so I've been dealing with them a fair bit!!!!

'GC8' is a Japanese chassis prefix and it relates to all 2 litre two door or four door saloons; both turbo-charged and normally-aspirated.
