Newbie alert!
Hello all,
I know this question has probably been, sorry not probably BUT HAS!! been asked hundreds of times before.
I am thinking about buying a Impreza, what shuold i look for? any easy giveaways? eg on the chassis or in the engine bay? i currently drive a Fiesta Rs Turbo. I now want something bigger and 4wd!
I will have about £4.5k to spend on one. Is this enough or should i keep saving!!
Also can you put later spec bumpers on an older ones?
Any help or links to answer my question would be great!
Cheers

First of all welcome mate! and secondly IMO I think you'd be better saving a little while longer, cause with that kind of money, finding one that aint been savaged is gonna be difficult, keep us posted with your car search

Cheers for the replys. When i do go on my search is there any tell tale signs of a knackered one? and what are common faults with them. Also what do i look out for on the body.
Sorry for the questions but i have been a Ford boy all my life and thats all i know!! (please dont hold that against me!)

Try and find one thats not been chav'd up. I know it wont be easy, especially if you are buying a classic - but if you look hard enough there are still a few decent ones about.
If you go for a test drive and the owner is wearing a tracksuit and baseball cap then avoid!
Ah just read that sentance.... ignore all my advice above

Just becasue its an Rs turbo does not mean you have to be a chav to drive it. I have seen plenty of Chavs driving Subarus!
