Excuse my ignorance, but.........
I`m middle aged, overweight etc and probably suffering the old "mid life crisis"..............so I decided to get rid of the Beemer, and buy a 1999 Wagon.
Great bit of kit, I actually enjoy driving this, as all of you obviously do.
Anyway, I have one major failing when it comes to Scoobies........w.t.f is "Knocklink"?
Can someone please enlighten me, in terms an old git could understand?

Its an aftermarket rather ugly accessory, if you had one fitted youd know. Its little more than a small box with some coloured LEDs in it. Despite what one particular know-nowt will tell you its a valuable piece of kit (essential on a WRX), but it wont be needed on your car so long as it hasnt been modified. Subarus have an exceptionally slow-to-react ECU that fails to deal wih detonation effectively, it also has a limted range of adjustment; it cant retard enough. Many a rebuild has been prevented by knocklink...
