Horse power, and brake horse power (all the same just lazyness stops everyone sayinmg it) WHP is horse power at the wheels (as measured on a RR). you may also see FHP wich is flywheel horsepower (can only be 'calculated' on a RR)

then there is PS. which is a metric measurment that is nearly a horse power but not quite!

1 BHP (conventional english standard measurment)

equals 1.01387 PS (metric measurment that a lot of manufacturers now qoute in)

equals 0.7457 KW

And kW where 1kW is 1.34 bhp.

Think 320 ps is 316 bhp (WR1 brochure figures) so 1 bhp is 0.988 ps.

HP is BHP
PS is metric BHP

WHP and FHP are talking about where the BHP is measured (i.e at the wheels or the flywheel) as you will 'loose' a lot of BHP between the flywheel and wheels (gearbox etc).

it is confusing i admit!
