I am Truly a lucky Git!

They say that every cloud has a silver lining!
Last week I posted on here about the accident that befell my Sti whilst being “road tested” by the dealer after its first service. That was a bad day, slung into a bush and over £4000 worth of damage to body, suspension, wheels etc.
Such is the remorse of the dealer that they’ve invited me along to a test day with their Rally Team as they practice for the Kent Forestry Stages… so next Thursday I’m off into the woods with them for a ride in their Group N Scooby Sti.
The driver? No less than Dave Higgins!
I guess my glass has just changed from half empty to half full! My car should be back next weekend too so things are looking up. Shame you have to get your pride and joy seriously damaged to get such an invite though!
Anyway, that’s it for the Gloating, I do consider myself a bit of a lucky b****r though!

What a lovely gesture!
They sound like a great bunch. At the end of the day accidents / mistakes happen. It's the way a company deals with them afterwards that should be judged.
Sounds like a top day! have fun (duh!)
regards
Simon

3yrs or so ago, I went to The Forest Experience rally school and had a day's lessons (and an end of day demo ) with Mark Higgins, David's older brother, and AFAIK, this year's British National Rally Champion.
If David's straight out the family mould (?), then you'll have a great time, mainly looking out of the passenger's or driver's door windows.
It sounds like a brilliant opportunity. Make sure you report back on the BBS
