28mpg! MY94 Type RA

Not too many motorists too happy with me doing 50mph on the mway though.
(Sorry folks, no choice)

On boost for ooohhh 10 seconds all week.

This week is like a madonna song...

Was it me or was driving last week very dull. Even the F1 race simulation from the lights in London seemed to disappear... saying that the journey was nice

Who cares about mpg - we all knew these things eat fuel like your average American consumes red meat

Cool

We all care about MPG when we don't know where the next full tank of fuel is.

I see you are in London somewhere - this must be the easiest place in the UK to travel around when the fuel runs out - push-bikes have good mpg you know they just leave you with a sore a***

Anyway, don't we get a replay in 60 minus x days - can't see Tony and Gordon moving too much by early November

Thumbs up

The thing that I enjoyed most was going round the M25 seeing comparatively few cars and most of them doing 63mph IN THE LEFT-HAND LANE!

Sorry, but did you say Left Hand Lane. Surely not, you must have been drinking / Halucinating.

If they can do it when there is a shortage of petrol then why can't it be done all the time.

Go figure!

They only did it because they were fed up of being razzed by people like me who had LOTS of fuel

(Turbo diesel Vectra - 50 mpg @ 95 mph - $hit street cred tho' )

There's been loads of talk on this site about Super versus Premium fuel in Sccobies. Two more days and thanks to the local flying club, i'd have been reporting on how well they run on 110RON AvGas!

What the hell, that's what a warranty's for isn't it?

RussP,

Be careful what you say! "They" are watching you know.

You could make your warranty worthless.

It is unlikely AVGAS will keep you airborne for more than a few seconds unless you have particularly high speedbumps!
It is highly unlikely that the engine management system will have a 110RON setting so's it probably will not do your 'motor' a lot of good. I am sure that someone will give a more technical explaination. I do remember me dad telling me he did it during the war (syphoned it out of his Beaufighter the rotter, never catchjerry doing that sort of thing don't you know!) and ran a Morgan 3-wheeler. It went well for a short time 'till it blew up.

I think it has lead it in as well!
