Advice On New Scoop Please
I have just had a new bonnet and scoop after a bird strike, the following picture shows how the car looked before the accident (Note this is not my car but is the same model MY05Sti)
Before
This is how the scoop looks now:
Scoop Now
The problem that I have is that the scoop now has vertical splines that have been painted, would these have been on my old scoop but left unpainted, or have I had the wrong scoop fitted.
Just looks wrong as it is

Why did you change in the first place? the original type was more than sufficient to place air over the intercooler, including a built in splitter
You should have got a new one from the breakers

probably because they are normally unpainted and therefore cannot be seen -pop down your dealer and have a nosey at their demo as a comparison, probably an over zealous painter

I had a pheasant hit he bonnet and rip the scoop off. hence it had to be replaced, just think it looks wrong with the spines painted.
Looks like its back to the dealers
