Question Daft question...

On the blob eye wagon's, in the boot (right at the base of the seat back) there's a narrow flap the width of the car that lift's up, as though for storing something, anyone got any idea's what it's for?

is it an import?

i saw a spec c recently with a water-spray tank bigger than my fuel tank that's roughly in the same position just behind the rear seats...could be a slot for that.

probably only a 10% chance of that but maybe....

Is it for keeping fishing rods in?

Seriously, there's one just like it on my old man's Forester and that's what Sparshatts told him it was for

Yeh, that's the sort of shape it is, but not quite big enough for a fishing rod!!!
I even looked in the hand book, but could'nt find anything in there about it, i was just curious as to what it could be for.

Talking

shotgun? Maybe subaru realised that the robbers favourite could do with a safe place for firearms for those tedious trips to and from the local bank

Here's the bin he is asking about:

I'm not sure what it would be for exactly. Maybe it's cut specifically for a Subaru accessory. I know that one of the bins closest to the rear is specifically cut to hold the cargo area cover. Not sure on this one though

edit: sorry it's so dirty in there, I've been transporting wheels all over the place

Looking at the picture, it now becomes clear.

It is for a giant microphone

seriously yhough, in other countries especially in Europe is it not a legal requirement to carry certain roadside safety equipment. Such as warning triangles and spare bulbs etc etc.....

I would not be suprised to learn that Subaru put some kind of kit in there for other Countries, but where there is no requirement by law in this country it is left empty.

Just like the side markers on the bug eye, the American ones have working flashers behind them, we have holes!
