Remember going to a dealer in 98 for a test drive to be told they didn't do 'Test Drives' I was expected to pay up front. For some reason I still gave my details and was pestered months later by the same salesman trying to sell me the same car but apparently it was now fitted with an interior from a newer car that had been a write off. Needless to say I took my business elswhere......they were the days of zero depreciation..lol

My brother paid about list price for a MY98 at the start of 99 with about 16k on it
TBH i just wouldn't buy a new one now, the reason i bought mine new in late 99 was because i thought if you are gonna pay list you should have a new one (ordered mine 19/6/99 arrived 23/11/99) still love it though
