Ta ta, shiela's....
Well, after 5 years of scooby ownership and memebership of SN, the time has come to leave both behind, due to imminent immigration to Australia. 5 years has seen alot of changes both for me (married FFS !) and to SN : some good and some bad.
I'll miss :-
Holden V8's, here I come.....
I'll miss :-
- Some of the good friends I made on this board, many of whom helped me when I needed it. Including (not exclusively) ToneLoc, John Felstead, AndrewC ("shiny"), David Wallis and others. Thanks guys
- The joy ( and noise !) of when the turbo starts to kick in at 2600 RPM, especially in 3rd.
- The looks other marque owners get when a 10 year old estate car goes flying past them - Porsche, BMW and Merc's especially.
- The technical knowledge and advise available on this board - never waste or abuse it guys, else you'll loose it.
- Some of the arseholes on this board
- The cost of running the scooby - £1600 alone in parts this last year !
- The weather in this country ...

LIDDO: I write computer games, my wife is a computer game artist and she's actually got herself a job over there : I work from home so I can go where the work takes us.
scooby-si : cheers cost of exporting my scooby is probably more than it's worth
pslewis: ummmm......

should also mention a big thanks to Peter and John @ Prosport - Peter first worked on my car many moons ago and has been cursing me bringing it back ever since. Without the lads at Prosport, I would've ground to a halt long ago.
Anybody in the North-West should take their car to Peter @ Prosport, best garage for Scoobies out there
