Default my first scooby arrives tomorrow - now ARRIVED

my first scooby after years of wanting one arrives tomorrow. I've ordered a MY05 WRX PPP saloon in red and it's been on order since October 2004 but couldn't be delivered until the 3yr lease ran out on my current car, an audi a4.

Looks like tonight is going to be another sleepless night and tomorrow is just going to drag on until it arrives...I can't wait

Don't wait til 1000 miles - it's much easier to drive whilst keeping it below 4000rpm with the PPP than without.

I drove my 05STI for 3 days without PPP before it got installed - wow what a difference!!!
Without it the car felt vey sluggish, but with.....OMG.....now thats how it's supposed to be.
Loads more torque low down.

You know it makes sense!!!

Hiya,

Enjoy it mate; they're great cars. Do make sure you treat it gently and run it in properly over at least the first 1000 miles though. I'm afraid they'll be no shortage of idiots wanting to bait you, but you must resist You'll notice that the car will just keep on feeling quicker over the first 5000 miles or so!

The smiles will keep coming....alas so do the petrol/service/insurance bills etc....they're worth it though!!

Best wishes

went down to letchworth to get some optimax, and drove as the book says under 4,000rpm except in an emergency - I had a few emergencies

the car now looks used and dirty with that ****e on the road and I don't mean audi's

sod the photo maybe I will pop over later on my way home via the country lanes without touchig the A1 or A14.

Honestly mate, keep those emergencies to a minimum. Don't forget, you're on thin "running in oil" at the moment (replaced by the regular stuff at the 1000 mile service). If you thrash the engine now, you'll pay for it later! It's hard with these cars not to gibve it some stick, I know!

Best.

Simon just take it easy for about 300 miles then pick up the pace a bit.
You wont have any engine issues within the 3 Year period your worried about
And the car will be a lot faster.
I dont condone this type of behaviour tho you understand
4th Scoob and never done under 4000 rpm for a 1000 miles in any of them.
The only car I have had that was not bought new blew up at 6000 miles !!!"
More of using the wrong fuel by previous owner and dealership always beats the running in by the book theory!!
Pop round you muppet!!

I second that
I was told by the dealer not to ***** foot round in my 04 PPP all the time as the maf may get the wrong idea about how you drive just dont thrash it above 4000 rpm for any length of time.

Still 4000 rpm in 5th is well in to 3 figure (so i', told )
