ScoobyECU help
Hello everyone. This is my first post to Scoobynet! :-)
Someone is offering me his ScoobyECU, which he no longer needs. I'm looking for someone who knows about them, particularly any of the following people:
Dave Wallis
Chris Palmer
Paul Balmire
Scott Taylor
Are any of these people on Scoobynet or does anyone have an email address for them?
In case someone else can help, this is what I need to find out:
His ScoobyECU has come from a 1995 4 door UK car, whilst mine is a 1995 4 door WRX. The turbo is the same (TD05), but will the mapping on his ScoobyECU be suitable for my car or do I need one specially configured for my car's ecu, which is presumably different to his?
I'm after a boost limit of 16 PSI, but particularly a better map for UK fuel and better lower down the rev range response (currently nothing happens below 4000rpm). I have a decatted exhaust and an HKS induction kit. The current boost limit is about 14.5 PSI.
Thanks in advance,
David

Always best to get it mapped for car but you should have no problems as cars are same and both ECU's should accept it (will make no difference to map). Just use a boost gauge and knocklink to be sure.
The boost target is dependant on the map on the scooby ecu, but most will be in the 16psi region.

David,
sorry for not getting back to you sooner, but Simons map should be fine. I'm not sure which one he is selling you because I think he may of had a 14psi and a 15.5psi map.
but either one would be suitable, and better mapped to uk fuel then the W6, 2C or U8 WRX ECU's.
