Newbie here
Hi all
just on here to introduce myself on here and say hello as i have always had a thing for scoobies!
i currently own a Seat Ibiza Cupra (1.8 20V Turbo) which i have done a few things to it, cat back xorst, induction kit, dump valve, lowered, tints, chipped!
anyway hopefully my next car is going to be a scooby, STI with prodrive, will have to be a couple of years though as i am only 23 and need to get my house first!
any tips on what to look out for when buying a scooby, what price, maintenance, private or dealer etc. Much appreciated.
anyway hopeing for a warm welcome, and maybe see you boys with my scooby (well i can hope)
Cheers
Tony

Welcome to the mad house m8.
Only owned mine since feb04 so my advice is limited.......first off a Full Service History is a must be that dealer or independant specialist.
Also check on scoobynet for cars as majority on here are enthusiants and in theory should have been well looked after.
Any more help/tips for the newbie
Cheers Ashley

The "Classic" Impreza's are getting a bit old now, the newest ones being almost 7 years old, though if you can find a decent P1 they are worth having. The classic are more likely to be tired with under body neons so worth avoiding.
The Bugeye which was produced 5-6 years ago is starting to be a "Chav" ride (havent heard that term for a while) though the blobeye ones are the best bet, unless you can afford 35k for the new spec 2.5 My07.
You can pick up an early MY03 STi for anything between £8k and £10k privately.
Please ignore the above until 2007
