a 5th injector is usually used to introduce more fuel along side a nos jet so as not to lean out the engine and put holes in pistons etc .but i suspect more info is needed

Subaru's when first placed on this planet had a 'flat five' setup.

But they evolved and lost one of their cylinders, and we were left with the 'flatfour' configuration which we are familiar with today.

But like our own appendix, the fifth injector was left over, maybe in years to come you will find it will shrink and eventually fall off.

You can go to specialist clinics and have it removed, but if its doing you no harm, I suggest you leave it be.

Later Yoza

The fifth injector isnt used in the road cars, its for rallying purposes, possably anti-lag, but as far as it goes, you have 4 working injectors.
