Optimax Pricing........
I'm interested to know how much you pay for Optimax and the price difference between it and standard unleaded.
Filled up yesterday in Kidderminster, standard unleaded 81.9, Optimax 92.9. Needless to say I went 4 miles up the road and got it at 84.5.
According to Shell the garage is a franchise operation so are free to set their prices as they see fit. I for one certainly won't be going back there for fuel again!
Done a quick search and it would appear this is not the only garage taking the p1ss. Would it not be an idea to get as many garage prices on here (I know they vary, but at least it gives you a rough idea) so when out & about and you need fuel you know where to go/avoid?

83-84p in Swindon.
(Incidentally, garage in Marlborough until very recvently was charging over 100p for a litre of unleaded, not even Optimax. To be fair they've had a HUGE price cut, it's now plummetted to about 97p per litre!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank God I don't have to live there

Aye, crept up from 85.9 to 87.9 in Milton keynes over the last 10 days 
There's a little place in the back of beyond, near Prodrive's gaff in Warwick that's always about 3-4p cheaper than here. So much for transport costs being a factor
A guy who owns my usual Optimax shop says Shell simply base the price on their competitors and what they can get away with.
Don't forget that most of it ends up in the grubby little paws of the chancellor though
