PPP pack in Germany
I am just persuading a colleague to buy a Scooby here in Germany but with a ppp. He claims it cannot be purchased in Germany. Anyone in the know?

The PPP is not approved for use in Germany as it will involve NON TÜV approved parts being added to the car, It will also change the exhaust noise levels of the car and this is a defiante no no, We have one MY00 GT here with a PPP which was a car brought over from the UK the TÜV did not initially recognise any modification to the car but upon later inspections they will, also if the car is involved in an accident the mods will be noted and the insurance will be voided. Even though they were there for the initial inspection they are not listed in the Fahrzeugbrief. It also involves removing the centre cat which is verboten, road tax is based on the emmisions here and removing cats is illegal.
If Prodrive can produce TÜV certificates of approval for fitment in Germany including the noise level changes I would be very keen to see them.
I would contact Nick Wadeson and find out but I would not hold your breath.

Once the car is TÜV'd then it's tough if they didn't spot it...
Secondly removing a cat is fine as long as it gets through its emissions tests, which it did.
Thirdly I'm sure Prodrive now have the PPP car available directly...

Rich no it is not tough if they don't spot it first time, you have no documented evidence it was fitted at first TÜV! that is my point. If you are up for an argument that it was there to start with then I will book tickets to come and watch you.
I have dealt with TÜV 3 times now and even with the right paperwork Smagon still had to argue the case.
as for point 3 like I said if Prodrive can produce the correct paperwork then I will eat my hat until then I stick by what I wrote.
