Mate did the same thing but put a baked been tin over the end of this wacked out blue ford estate thing he got given to burn round his dads field. He made some well placed holes in the tin and clamped it over the exhaust and it whistled like mad. Sounded as much unlike a turbo as you could get.

This item ranks in the same league as that electric supercharger floating about on Ebay.

Found a new one - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...901848149&rd=1

And the classic - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...901764693&rd=1

Who the hell bid £110 for that

Havent you ever wondered if this can work? I know that I have. If only Id tried Engineering at uni instead of an easy A & H course.

My CBR600 had ram-air induction and it made quite a difference. I dont know whether a 220cfm pump will increase the airflow of simply restrict it. It might be possible to make an electric pump work but Id have thought that this will make a car run rich. Every bike that runs a ram-air system that Ive seen has a carefully sealed airbox and plenum, a bit like an old 'blow-through' turbo. With this, you might get improved airflow through the meter but this will just bleed away.

This is the same device used by big movie companies when they want a normally aspirated car to sound heavily turbo-charged (you really think they are going to spend all that extra time and money turbocharging every car on the set)?!
No, I thought they spent 10 minutes in the editing suite adding sound effects

Well now we all know better

It is in fact these marvellous little things (could be a new racket for someone selling cars), put a fake Turbo in the engine (made out of plastic perhaps - he he) and put one of these on the scooby

I just looked out the window to hear this noise of someone giving it beans down the road and saw a micra with an old guy in pootling along (then about 10 secs later the Saxo came behind him) - I think they'd left the junction at the same time, I'm going to follow him next time and check out if it's one of these
