I have some cash to spend on my WRX
I have just sold my much loved C5 Corvette. I work away a lot now and cant justify having it sitting in the garage for months at a time.
So my shoping list so far is:
PPP
Origin B2
Upgrade fog lights
de-cat
Anything else you thing is a good idea - I still have over 2 years warranty left and I want to keep it so cant change much else.
The one thing I dont like is the black side skirts - I want colour coded ones - anyone know of this?

I have my side skirts painted, they do look much better, i think the scoop would fit, but i personally wouldnt do it.....it wont suit the WRX, IMHO.

Hmmm.. 2 years on the warranty means a MY02 bugeye like mine
Keeping the warranty means having the PPP and not much else... Having said that many people feel that the PPP WRX is a more rounded (and cheaper) car than the equivalent STi.
Colour coded side skirts about 200 plus vat at local body shop..nice.
Sti scoops look much better IMHO and available from lots of places...I'm very tempted by the Jap innovations STi8 (OK greasemonkey MY03 UK Sti UK) bonnet scoop.
Lots of other tarty mods also available, Morette headlights (mandatory), Lexus rears, changing the ironing board spoiler for someting more interesting
As I mentioned there's not much leeway if you want to keep a cast iron Warranty
Midlife.....

I think the decat will affect warranty. But the PPP gets rid of one cat anyway.
I'm with you on the B2.
Exactly how do you plan to upgrade the fog lights? If you mean to change them for driving lights then good luck, as yet there aren't any available from Subaru. They've made some, but they're all going on WR1's. I'm looking into 130mm aftermarket ones from Cibie/Hella etc at the mo'.
If you drop the decat and lights, you could use that cash for Prodrive springs, fitted by TSL/Powerstation with a full geometry set-up. Will complement the PPP well. Also, maybe treat yourself to some new lightweight (OZ Superlegerra for me ) wheels instead of the heavy ugly WRX things (I hate the dark silver (pewter?) colour, looks permanently covered in brake dust).

Thanks for the replies.
I should have been more specific - I actually have 2 years 5 months left - its a blob
It amazes me just how many different variants there are.
So back to the mods - the springs - will they lower the car? IMHO it sits a bit too high for my liking. But I dont want a rock solid ride as I do a fair few miles.
I did not know about the driving lamps

The springs will drop the car, but it's only slight. About 20-25mm IIRC so not too slammed Corsa I'm told the ride, although a little firmer, is much improved over the wallowy standard springs. I'll definately be getting mine done (@ Powerstation) along with the geo setup, solid rear droplinks, uprated rear ARB and front strut brace.

ProDrive Spring Kit - get it 1st, it drops the car a bit, makes it look more like it should and makes it handle more like it should. The ride is barely effected and the COG is lowered, improving turn in and reducing body roll & understeer. Just got it fitted yesterday - it rocks.
Quickshift? - I got one - I love it - Snickity snick

All bollox.
Forget the warranty its worthless. Dont bother with the overpriced "dealer has you over the barrel " PPP for a **** return in performance.
Whats PPP nowadays £1400.00? for what?
Go for:
EcuTek map 3 custom re-map
Full De-cat
STi Panel filter
Samco Hoses
This equates to between 280 - 295 bhp (a damn sight more that PPP)
Money left to pay for something that goes wrong £300.00
Simple equation isnt it
