Ok whats going on here! When the car hits around 125 i hear some kind of bzzing noise, like an alarm or something. It seems to come from under the right side of the dash around the alarm panel.
Any ideas?
And before anyone states...
No its not the 125MPH BUZZER, didn't you know that!
& yes it only every does this on private runways, It did it on the Scooby Shootout day!
Would get the missus between my legs for a listen but god only know what would happen, or how would explain it if it did...
Help...
Can't quite think how to ask the dealer to inverstigate, but I'm working on "Was listening to radio 2 when I suddendly heard this noise, looked down to see the speedo" is it the take off speed mr dealer!

Is it kind of like a low pitch whistle (not unlike blowing across the top of a milk bottle)? If so, they all do that sir (well, STi 7s and 8s). It is aparently wind noise caused by the mirrors. If you push through it and keep accelerating, it goes by 130!

I've had the same kind of thing a couple of times at differing speeds. When I posted on this earlier this year, I was told that it was air passing across the engine and being "syphoned" off into a cavity (like a woodwind instrument). I think it depends on your speed and the direction of any wind outside.

I use it on track days to gauge how well I am exiting bends that lead onto long straights You aim to "drive through" the "Milk Bottle Whiste" earlier and earlier along the straight....
Yep, direction of wind seems to make a difference but I've never had it below about 110 and never over 130....
