Question

Hi,

As some may know I just got my MY2001 STI JPN spec a few days ago.

I set my rev limiter to under 4000rpms and the red light comes on but no buzzer.....is there a way to shut the buzzer off and on ??

Thanks,
Ray

Yep - once you have set the red light, turn the setting **** again after three seconds and it will indicate "on" or "off" for the buzzer.

Is the rev limiter what it says. ie an engine cut out device. Or is it just a rev warning light and buzzer.,

Chip.

LOL toys for the boys eh

I wonder how much that gadget cost and after 1000 miles will never be used again . Suppose it a bit like electric wing mirrors I set them and never bothered again.

So who would prefer an extra 10bhp than a light and buzzer .

cheers

I use the elec mirrors for parking, Doesn't everyone ? . I also think the buzzeer is very usefull if your going quickly. Stops those unwanted reving out, tight overtaking manouveres

Dave,

Just think, once your car is properly run in, you can set the limit to the redline and then, you won't hit the rev limiter powering out of corners
