This is how deals are done. If you are concerned just don't accept large amounts of cash and wander the streets with it.

Thumbs up

Chris is a totally straight guy. He has always done the railway station/expenses thing. He is well respected on here, knows alot about cars and is a fine driver. Buying and selling cars is how he earns a living now but it started as a passion based hobby.

Bottom line is if you are right with him he'll be right with you.

Yep Chris is a top bloke and can be trusted (unlike most of the rest of the car trade ) Website here:- http://www.scoobyscene.co.uk

Cheers,

Ian.

P.S. Chris, any idea what my car is worth. 1 (careful ) owner,DBM MY00 EU Import, standardish, 30k miles, FSSH?

Yeah, add another vote for mellow - sold my car to him in exactly the same manner. Drove up from london, took the train back with a pocket full of cash. No fuss, no messing.

Make sure you're honest / realistic about the car; if you say it's perfect and done 10k get there and it's a bit tatty with 25k you're going to have wasted a trip. 20 mins after I got there I was on my way to the station in the passenger seat, with cash, having had a coffee.

IIRC http://www.scoobyscene.co.uk is Chris's operation...

Another vote for Mellow/Chris.

Traded my car in with him - no fuss and offered me the best price by far of any dealer.

I think we've established the situation, so time to lock.
